Psychotherapist
Yvette Jean is a Licensed Master Social Worker who is fluent in English and Creole. She received her Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University and experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety and interpersonal conflict. Yvette also has extensive experience working with family court systems, victims of abuse and neglect by advocacy and crisis interventions.
Yvette also offers Christian Counseling that combines clinical tools with faith, wisdom and a deeper connection to God, to support growth, healing and peace.
Yvette uses evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology to help clients manage their feelings and emotions to live healthier lives. Yvette is committed and passionate about her work as a therapist. She has a natural ability to bond with people which helps build a relationship of trust and positive rapport.
