Psychotherapist
Danielle is a Licensed Master Social Worker and received her Masters in Social Work from Adelphi University. Danielle also has her Bachelors degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She has extensive experience working with youth and families that have experienced trauma and are at risk including CPS and family court involvement, suicidality, self-injurious behavior, substance use disorders, and domestic violence. In addition, Danielle is skilled at issues surrounding parenting across the lifespan ranging from perinatal health through navigating adult parent/child relationships. She also has experience working with individuals facing challenges with anxiety and depression.
Danielle works from strength-based, psychodynamic, and humanistic perspectives. She uses multiple evidence-based methods in her approach such as Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Play Therapy, Attachment Based, and Trauma Informed Motivational Interviewing. Danielle wholeheartedly strives to give her clients a safe place to explore and voice life’s struggles and to build a therapeutic alliance. She believes that “people are not designed to experience life alone and that we all, at times, need support, guidance, and encouragement”. She uses an individualized approach because there is no one size fits all to therapy and hopes to empower each client on their path to find peace within themselves.
Danielle is also a Level Two trained Gottman Therapist.
