Audrey Pfeifer is a graduate from LIU Post’s Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling Masters program. She is currently working toward her Licensure Clinical Hours and Board Certification. Audrey has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and seniors in various settings such as inpatient psychiatric hospitals, out-patient clinics and day programs. Audrey has worked with clients in both individual and group settings. Her experience has been with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, self harm, traumatic brain injuries, Dementia and Alzheimer’s. She also has worked with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.
Audrey utilizes a Humanistic approach and allows that to guide the sessions based on the individual’s specific needs. One of her main modalities is Art Therapy, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Audrey believes strongly in the healing power of art and the importance of self-expression. Audrey also believes art therapy helps guide her clients to express their emotions in a visual way, experience self-discovery, build coping skills and overcome obstacles while being unconditionally supported throughout the process.
