Darshanie Sahadeo is a Mental Health Counseling Intern committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to those navigating life’s challenges. She is currently in clinical training and exploring a variety of therapeutic approaches, with a strong interest in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and mindfulness practices that support healing through present-moment awareness.
Darshanie is especially passionate about working with adolescents and individuals from minority-based communities. She understands how cultural identity, generational trauma, and systemic barriers can shape mental health and is dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space for clients to explore these experiences. Her clinical focus includes helping those impacted by intergenerational issues, including cycles of trauma, family conflict, and emotional disconnection.
With a warm, collaborative, and holistic approach, Darshanie aims to empower clients to develop greater self-understanding, emotional regulation, and resilience. She believes in meeting each person where they are, honoring their story, and walking alongside them on their journey toward well-being.
