Christopher Moore, LMSW
Psychotherapist
Chris is a Licensed Master Social Worker. He completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at SUNY Old Westbury and earned his Master’s degree in Social Work at St. Joseph’s University. Chris has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, seniors, and couples in a clinical therapeutic setting. He has assisted clients in dealing with a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, relationship and family issues, and trauma.
Chris utilizes a trauma-informed and person-centered approach employing evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strengths-based perspective, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy to help tailor a strategy which addresses each client’s individual needs.
Chris believes that the therapeutic process should be something that is done with a client, not to them, and he strives to create a safe, judgment free environment where each individual person can be heard and supported so that they can explore their feelings, grow their skills, and heal from whatever they may be carrying with them in their lives.
